The mission of Antioch
Christian Academy is to establish and maintain an educational setting
that provides an opportunity for all students to develop to their
highest potential academically, socially, spiritually and physically.
Antioch encourages all
parents to train up their children in the way they should go. The
secular educational system cannot be the only alternative for
Christian children in these days and times. It is essential that
Christians move forward to develop true spirituality within the
children of today. Children are encouraged to explore, experiment,
and experience their world in a safe, secure environment. ACA has
limited class size to fifteen students thus providing the opportunity
for teachers to give students individual attention that supports
personal growth and development.
We believe in putting God
first in all that we do, so every day time is set aside for devotion
and Bible training from the Word of God. The environment of the
school is conducive to one of Christian love. ACA offers the Horizons
Preschool Program Curriculum which is based upon the Bible. The
lessons begin with a Bible concept and flow into activities and
academic subjects including social studies, language arts, math,
phonics and science. Arts and crafts, music, story times,
outdoor excursions, and other exciting learning activities enhance
the student lessons. We help students gain the important
knowledge that God is the beginning of all things. Our
curriculum gives them a perspective of the world and an appreciation
for all cultures.
In order to develop well-rounded, life-long learners, the students of
ACA participate in a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular
activities, not limited to computer training, choir, basketball,
cheerleading, and languages. The school has a chapter of the Junior
Classical League. Academy students have been invited to perform
throughout the community. |
