is a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He was born in Texas but raised in St. Louis, MO, where his father, Rev. Oliver K. Patterson, Sr. is the pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He has officially been in ministry for almost 12 years but has felt the call on his life since the age of 16. “I knew the Lord was calling, but I was doing a Jonah; running until I couldn’t run anymore!” A graduate of a small historically black college named Harris-Stowe University, with a degree in middle school and high school education, he presently teaches at Rich Hawkins High School in the School of Excellence district of schools.

He moved to San Antonio in 2005 and has become an active part of the Antioch Baptist Church under Dr. E. Thurman Walker. He serves as the Minister of Children and Youth which encompasses at least 10 different ministries. “I love working with children and seeing their growth. Plus, I enjoy helping young Christians to see that serving God can be fun and exciting.” He has a 13 year old daughter who lives in St. Louis and enjoys spending as much time as he can with her. His present goal in life is to publish that novel he’s been working on for the past few years and to get his golf score down to a respectable number.
